Yeoldon enjoys and idyllic setting in glorious north Devon and yet is only 5 minutes from the link road and Bideford – there is no need to travel away from the hotel for your photographs. You can enjoy the splendid views from the hotels 2 acres of beautifully tended gardens or take more intimate pictures on the bridge with the colourful gardens in the background.
From the minute you first view Yeoldon House, nestled on the banks of the River Torridge, you will be assured of a warm welcome. We do not offer Wedding packages but believe that each Wedding should be unique and tailor made to suit individuals.
Outstanding customer service is part of our ethos at Yeoldon House. We have run the hotel for 10 years and know that word of mouth is crucial to our business. We are determined that each of your guests will be happy to recommend us and are very proud of the comment at one wedding that the staff were still smiling at midnight!
You can be married in the lounge with views over the river with up to 50 special guests and then enjoy a glass of Champagne or Pimms on the sloping lawns. The house is exclusively yours for the day, or even two days if you wish, and we are here to help make your dreams come true.
Brian will create a menu to suit your family and special dietary requirements are readily catered for. We have been awarded an AA Red Rosette for our food for the last 10 years and provide the best function food in North Devon, offering exactly the same standard of cooking and presentation that is offered in our restaurant. Brian is the Chef Proprietor and we will only cater for a wedding if he is available.
Whilst the hotel is decorated as a Victorian country house it lends itself to being themed for a wedding. We can offer ideas about decoration from simple table posies to more elaborate floral arrangements. Imagine the wooden banister with twisted ivy and flowers or willow rings on the bedroom doors.
The evening can be as relaxed or formal as you wish. We can provide a sumptuous buffet or simpler fare and offer the delightful arrangement of having a disco or band in one room whilst other guests can enjoy a catching up with one another in the comfortable lounge bar. The evening can be rounded off by romantic Chinese lanterns floating away over the rolling countryside.
Each of our bedrooms is individually decorated by a local interior designer and each boasts a unique character – the elegant four-poster or the split level room with a balcony for the happy couple whilst your guests delight in the rooms you have selected for them.
The weekend finishes with a traditional full English breakfast in the elegant dining room before you wave goodbye to friends and relatives and embark on married life together with wonderful memories of this very special day.
